Cygnet Texkimp wins trio of awards for decarbonisation tech and global trade at Northern Automotive Alliance Awards 2024
Cygnet Texkimp has scooped three awards at the finals of the Northern Automotive Alliance (NAA) Awards 2024 for its work to support decarbonisation in the global automotive industry.
The company won top spot in the International Trade category and was awarded Highly Commended in the Innovation category before being named Company of the Year at the awards ceremony which took place at Crewe Hall, Cheshire on 19th September.
The judges congratulated Cygnet Texkimp for its work to develop and commercialise a range of fibre processing solutions that enable decarbonisation in automotive. These include the company’s ground-breaking, high-tension carbon fibre overwrapping solution for the manufacture of high-performance electric motors and hydrogen fuel cell powertrains for the international EV market, and its green-tech materials recycling solution, DEECOM®, which is designed to reduce waste and enable circularity in composite materials and parts.
‘Revolutionary approach to carbon fibre processing’
Announcing Cygnet Texkimp as the Company of the Year, the NAA said: “Judges were particularly impressed by this Cheshire-based company’s revolutionary approach to carbon fibre processing, developed at its newly established Innovation Centre and delivering real-world benefits to both the decarbonisation and sustainability agendas of automotive OEMs.”
