Innovation Centre
Our Innovation Centre was created as a product development, prototyping and testing space for the global composites and advanced materials industry. Based at our Cheshire headquarters, this 15,000 sq ft open-access facility is home to over £12m of the most advanced fibre handling and downstream processing technologies in the world, including filament winding, prepreg, slitting and spooling, automation and handling, and recycling equipment.
Within the centre, organisations have access to the support and expertise of our world-leading engineers, product designers and R&D specialists to help them develop technologies from TRL (Technology Readiness Level) 5 or 6 to commercial viability and full-scale production.
The centre has been designed as a space where industry and academia can develop the next generation of advanced materials and parts using dedicated trials to optimise and validate their process design, evaluate materials, and gather evidence to prove their business case or justify investment.
Our aim is to support the industrialisation of emerging composites manufacturing technologies, take the guesswork out of process qualifications, and reduce the inherent commercial risk associated with investment in large-scale capital equipment.
